Terms of service

These terms govern access to and use of the Business Vault website and platform at businessvault.space. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.

The service. Business Vault provides tools to document digital assets, ownership and access, store recovery evidence, run supported monitoring checks, manage alerts and incidents, and support recovery preparation. Business Vault does not take ownership of your external accounts, domains, websites or profiles.

No reinstatement guarantee. Business Vault does not guarantee that any third-party account, profile, domain, website, inbox or advertising account will be restored, verified or left active. Decisions about suspension, verification, access and reinstatement remain with the relevant third-party provider.

Your responsibilities. You must be entitled to act for the organisation whose assets you record. You remain responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, the people and agencies you invite, the files you upload, and access changes completed at third-party providers. Do not upload information you have no right to hold.

Acceptable use. You must not use Business Vault to attack systems, probe private networks, misrepresent scan results, store malware, or attempt to bypass authentication, billing or tenant separation. The public risk scan performs ordinary public requests for a site you are considering protecting. It is not a licence to scan systems you do not operate or control.

Accounts and security. Keep credentials confidential. Enable multi-factor authentication where available. Notify Business Vault promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your Business Vault account.

Plans and billing. Paid plans are billed in Australian dollars through PayPal subscriptions unless otherwise agreed in writing. Plan features and limits shown in the product are the current commercial offer. Fees already paid are handled according to the applicable PayPal transaction and any written agreement with Business Vault. Access may be suspended or limited if a subscription is unpaid, cancelled or expired.

Monitoring and scores. Monitoring describes observations available to the product. It is not a certification, penetration test, vulnerability assessment or warranty that every risk has been found. A check that has not been run is shown as unknown, not healthy. The Digital Resilience Score is based on recorded controls and available check results.

AI assistance. Where AI-assisted drafting or summaries are available in your plan, outputs are suggestions only. You must review them before use or submission to any third party. Business Vault does not warrant that AI output is complete or accurate.

Agencies. Agency users may only access client organisations they are authorised to manage. Client organisations remain separate tenants. Agency use does not transfer ownership of client assets to the agency or to Business Vault.

Intellectual property. Business Vault and its software, branding and documentation remain the property of the operator. You retain rights in the content you upload, and grant Business Vault the licence needed to host, process and display that content to provide the service.

Availability. We aim to keep the service available, but we do not warrant uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance and faults can occur.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Business Vault is not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data, third-party platform decisions, or indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable Australian consumer law.

Suspension and termination. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, create security risk, or remain unpaid. You may stop using the service and close an organisation through the product or by contacting support.
