Business Vault was created around a simple idea: businesses should be able to understand what digital assets they depend on, who controls them, what requires attention and what information is available if something goes wrong.
Business Vault is initially designed around the needs of Australian businesses. The platform supports Australian English, AUD pricing and business information such as ABN and ACN where relevant. Business Vault is delivered digitally and can support organisations remotely. It does not claim a physical Australian office network.
Business Vault avoids turning unknown information into reassuring green status indicators. If something has not been checked, it remains unknown until the platform has enough information to assess it. That principle applies throughout the product, from asset ownership to monitoring and recovery readiness.
Principles
Business ownership remains with the customer. Business Vault should never take ownership of a customer's external digital assets.
Customers should maintain internal ownership wherever practical, even when an agency or developer helps operate the asset.
Security should be understandable. Status is written in words as well as colour.
Recovery should be prepared before an emergency. AI should assist people rather than make unsupported decisions.
